Autumn Interior Design Trends 2022

Autumn Design Trends 2022

It is hard for us the believe that it is officially fall, especially with this incredible weather we are having! Despite the sunshine and high 20’s it IS Fall and the trends we are seeing for this season are all about color and texture.

In case you haven’t heard, the Verdict is in! The Design trends that are making waves are “70’s” inspired. From Boho to Disco the esthetic is all about incorporating earthy tones like Hunter Green, Cranberry, Mustard Yellow, Rusty Orange, and different shades of Teal. Materials like Rattan, Wicker, Bamboo and Organics are all taking center stage!

Fringe Pillows, lamps, blankets, textured carpets, and wall hangings are on every clients wish-list.

Cozy bedroom design

When the weather gets colder, we tend to want those cozy, inviting, warm spaces more than ever. Hibernation worthy elements with comfy textures in rich Autumn hues allude to the outside world and reflect the way nature rests during this season.

Layering soft blankets in materials like fleece, knits, boucle, or faux fur in bright saturated colors, or patterns, add depth and warmth. Furniture is shifting to curved lines in couches, chairs, and tables. We are even seeing a touch of this in the style of windows or doors clients are currently choosing.

Table lamps are featuring textured lampshades in a variety of finishes, and include materials from Glass, Linen, and Seagrass. These range in color and pattern, and will add a touch of color of texture to any space!

Boho living room design ideas

Can you believe that flooring and tile in checkerboard pattern is making a comeback?! They add a touch of whimsy to any space, are a great way to break up the look of a neutral room, and are inexpensive when renovating.

If you like the warmer darker woods, this is the season for you! A shift from lighter to darker woods is predicted to be more popular as the year progresses, especially when paired with darker, moodier colors and nature inspired accessories.

With this warm summer weather still in full swing, start by changing out some of your homes décor or accessories. This will make the shift in weather much easier once the cold dark days arrive, and remind us that the excitement of Christmas is just around the corner!
