Children's bedroomWhen it comes to a Child’s room, I’m not sure if there is anything more exciting than seeing a well designed and decorated space, especially if you can relate as a parent. Whether boy or girl, there are endless creative, fun, character specific ideas for your child’s bedroom!

Wallpaper! Yes you heard us right, we want to talk wallpaper! The thought of this might either be daunting, or give you those visions of the messy, disaster of a job you were roped into with your mom years ago.

But hear us out, the times of running your roll through a pail of water and scraping the water out with a squeegee are long gone! There are many user friendly ways we can install wallpaper today that are thankfully moons away from what it used to be!

Today, there are numerous different online sites that provide endless choices! With so many different designs, styles, colors, and themes, you can spend hours cruising from one website to another only to find that your list of choices has grown instead of being narrowed down. We can relate, but we are also here to point you in the direction of success instead of becoming overwhelmed.

Wallpaper in child's bedroomNumber One – Be clear in your vision!

There are multiple websites that sell different varieties of wallpaper. Wayfair.com, Wallpops.com, and Urbanwalls.ca provide affordable options for peel and stick, and of course we all take advantage of that Amazon Prime account whenever we can!

With so many options at our fingertips a small upgrade to your child’s room can turn into an overwhelming task if you allow it. We suggest picking a theme or design and sticking to it!

Number Two – Spacing.

How large is the space you are wanting to paper? We suggest papering one wall instead of all of them. This will save you money and time, as well as provide a very nice focal point in the room.

If your space is quite small, stick with lighter more airy designs as large prints can make a room feel smaller. If your have larger space to work with, go for it! Take advantage of that extra square footage and go bold!

Children's bedroomNumber Three – Be Child specific!

Whether your are decorating with or without your child’s input, keeping in mind what your child is interested in, or what their favorite colors are, can add some personalized character to their space.

Do you children share a room? No problem! Keeping things gender neutral is simple! There are thousands of neutral colors and designs for your choosing.

Number Four – Say Goodbye!

Say goodbye to the days of pail dunking, and hello to peel and stick! Don’t be intimidated with the thoughts of what wallpaper used to be, take the plunge!

If you are looking to simply face lift your child’s room remember, applying wallpaper has becomes such an accessible project for almost anyone.
